Chairman’s Message

I am Botan Taha Sheranshi I was born in Zaho, Northern Iraq. I am the only boy in a normal family of 5 children. I started trading at a young age because of my passion for trade. For this reason, I postponed my plans to study at university. In 2005, thanks to my father's dealing with trade and especially the mineral oil sector, I also had a curiosity and desire in this direction. Between 2016-2018, I gained experience by being in the sector personally. Towards the middle of 2018, I started working to establish my own company and I founded BMO COMPANY. In general, we carry out activities on the import and export of mineral oil. We meet the needs of the market with a large number of brands and product ranges. We are among the leading companies in the market with our widespread dealer network throughout Iraq. We provide service with our main center with a closed area of 2.500 m2 in Zaho, our warehouse of 2.000 m2 in Erbil and our branches in other regions. Russia and Azerbaijan, especially Turkey, are among the countries we work with. There are always difficulties at the beginning of any business, but the joy of success makes you forget the pain of failure, and great success is to try after falling. I started this project with my father when I was 20 years old and I learned a lot from his experience and guidance. I invite all young people, even adults, to try and not stop dreaming, there are always opportunities for everyone, and Iraq is full of job opportunities, but the most important thing is to try and not stop. Iraq is a country full of opportunities, development and rich in natural resources; however, Iraq still is a consumer country rather than a producer. Engine oil products producers have opportunities to work in such a market, because these products have an immense share in Iraqi market, according to this; BMO started its ambitious business, and is looking forward to gain a bigger share in this market. Our greatest desire is to implement technologies with our suppliers and partners to bring best oil products with highest quality to serve and satisfy our customers. Furthermore, we value, standards and ethical codes of commercial competition in the market; based on this principle, everyone is invited to be part of our journey.
